New features [Host]

AI Guardian

Protect your classroom from inappropriate media being shared through the InstaShare 2 media sharing features. The Yahoo trained AI Model will attempt to filter out inappropriate images from being shown on screen while sharing media files. 

Here are the steps to turn on the feature: 

1. Open InstaShare 2 and tap the settings cog wheel. 

2. Tap on AI Guardian then turn setting to 'ON'

Display to Display Casting

Wireless display to display casting for Instashare 2 on the following models has been released.  There is a maximum of 10 boards per casting group.

RP03/RP03v1/RM03

Note: Release date for the RM03 will be December 8th 2023. The RM03 will only support casting to other RM03s. 

RP03 series boards equipped with the WD02AT Wi-Fi dongle will not support this function.

Miracast P2P Support

The following configurations will now support the Miracast P2P feature.

Airplay Code Added

Added password protection when using the Airplay protocol to cast.

To turn on the code for airplay simply turn on the Connection password in

Instashare 2 

The connection code will be displayed on the main window of the InstaShare 2 application. 

If you wish to have a floating window displayed at all times enable the 'Show Connecting Information Window'. A moveable floating window will now be displayed at the top of the screen. 

Improvements

1. [MAC OS]  Changed the package to support MDM installations.

2. [Windows] Added a virtual sound driver to fix the no audio while casting issue. 

3. [Host] Limited the access to settings in InstaShare 2 for restricted users. 

Fixes

1. [Chrome OS] If you give host controls to your Chromebook, the Host menu is in Spanish.

2.[Chrome OS] Fixed the issue when  "Screen Mirroring" from a Chromebook, End Session would not disconnect the device from Instashare 2.
