[Enhancements]

  • Added the ability to randomize the MAC address used when connecting to Wi-Fi networks. To enable this feature, go to OSD menu Advanced Network & internet → Internet → Settings icon → Privacy, then select Randomized MAC address.
  • Added an option for administrators to enable or disable the QR code network sharing feature on the board. To configure this, open the Debug menu, go to Android Settings, and toggle QR Code UI on or off.

[Fixed Issues]

  • Fixed an issue that would cause the board to get stuck during startup when a USB Wi-Fi adapter is connected.
  • Fixed a screen flickering issue that occurred when connecting a laptop to the front panel USB-C.
  • Fixed an issue with Multi-window that could cause inconsistencies with windows overlapping or pinning when resizing windows.
  • Fixed an issue where the BenQ Board could become stuck on the logo animation during startup.
  • Fixed compatibility issues with external USB cameras to ensure both the camera and microphone initialize properly in AI applications such as Gemini and ChatGPT.
  • Fixed an issue where the Floating Tool would occasionally fail to open after logging into the board.
  • Fixed an issue where the volume could not be adjusted correctly in Google Meet.
  • Fixed an issue where the InstaShare Button would occasionally fail to start screen sharing.
  • Fixed an issue with the InstaShare Button pairing process to improve stability when connecting to 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause echo during Microsoft Teams calls when using the DV01K camera.

[Update Instructions]

This update requires manual installation through DMS or on the BenQ Board.

Updating the firmware from DMS

⚠️ Warning

The firmware update restarts the devices automatically. Make sure to update the firmware during off hours.

  1. Go to https://dms.benq.com.
  2. Log in with your admin credentials.
  3. From the main menu, click Firmware. The list of available device models appears.
  4. Locate your BenQ Board model, and then click Update. The update summary appears.
  5. Review the update details, and then click Update.

    Tip: You can also click Schedule to schedule the update at a later time.

    ⚠️ Warning

      • The firmware update requires a system restart. Make sure to save all important data before proceeding.
      • The update process may take a few minutes to complete. Ensure that there are no interruptions. Do not power off the device or disconnect from the internet to prevent permanent damage to the display.
    1. Open the Settings menu.
    2. Tap Advanced → System update.
    3. Tap Update system.

    The system downloads and updates the firmware and then reboots automatically.
