How to Change the Main Administrator Account for BenQ Cloud Services?

6 steps to change the main administrator for your BenQ cloud services.

To change the main administrator for your BenQ cloud services, do the following. 

Step-by-step

  1. Sign into the IAM portion of the cloud management system with the current main administrator account.
  2. Add the account that you would like to become the new administrator and Edit Service Permission.
  3. Within the Service Permissions for this account, in the drop down menu, select Set as substitute administrator.

  4. If successful, the account should now have next to it, denoting the account as a substitute administrator.

  5. Log out of the main admin account and log into IAM with the account that you just set as the substitute administrator.

  6. Click on the avatar in the top right-hand corner. Then click Account settings.

  7. Navigate to Organizations and under Administrator you'll see the current main administrator. Click replace to set the current substitute administrator (that you're logged into) as the main administrator. (NOTE: You can only set the Main Administrator account to a BenQ Account and NOT an SSO account. This is to avoid the Main administrator getting accidentally deleted)

  8. Click Replace for changes to take effect.
