      [Instashare 2] Release Notes for FW v1.8.3.0

      [New Features]

      Dual Screen (RP04 only)

      While extending their screen using the Dual Screen feature (RP04 Feature), InstaShare 2 users can now move shared content independently between the main screen and the extended screen. To move shared content between screens, tap the Move Screen button on the Host Controls window.

      My Favorites

      Users can now add a display as a favorite to easily locate it at the top of the available display list. To add a display as a favorite, tap the star icon at the top of the InstaShare 2 app Home screen after connecting to the display.


      Adjustable Floating Window

      Users can now adjust the size of the window when using the Floating Window mode.

      Manual Update (Only for Admin accounts on Client devices)

      Users can now manually update InstaShare 2 in the app by navigating to Settings → Check for Updates.

      [Enhancements]

        • The name of the user annotating is now shown on the display during Display-to-Device sharing.
        • Users can now export a connection log that records connections made during the previous 7 days.
        • Improved device discovery compatibility with Cisco VLAN mDNS.
        • The visibility status of shared screens in the Host Controls window will now be hidden when InstaShare 2 is running in the background.

      • [macOS] Improved performance and video quality.

      [Update Instructions]

      This update requires manual installation.

      Updating Windows Instashare 2 Client application.

      1. Download from InstaShare 2 website HERE.

      Updating InstaShare 2 Host from DMS

      1. Go to https://dms.benq.com.
      2. Log in with your admin credentials.
      3. From the main menu, click Apps → BenQ Apps. The list of available apps appears.
      4. Locate InstaShare 2 (or Instashare 2 EDLA for 04 Series and up), and then click Install. The app installation menu appears.
      5. Select to install by devices, groups, or tags, and then click Next.
      6. Select the specific devices, groups, or tags, and then click Select. A confirmation message appears.
      7. Review the information, and then click Confirm.

        Updating InstaShare 2 from the BenQ Board

        1. On the home screen taskbar, tap → BenQ App Store.
        2. Tap  → InstaShare 2. The app details window appears.
        3. Tap Update.
          Tip: If there are other available app updates, you can install them simultaneously.
        4. Tap  then  Update All.
