BenQ Launcher update for RE03A - Released 6/11/24

[New Features]

Show or hide main shortcuts from pre-login screen

• Admins can now show or hide the main shortcuts from the pre-login screen.
• This setting can be found in Settings 🡪 Device 🡪 Advanced settings.

[Fixed Issues]

• Fixed an SSO issue caused by Google service changes.
• Fixed an issue that caused the board to transmit incorrect system data to DMS.

[Updated Apps]

The listed apps are now updated to the following versions:

• BenQ Launcher 1.1.7.0
• Account Settings 1.1.4.4
• Gallery 1.0.5.1
• Sidebar 1.1.2.9
• Widgets 1.0.9.3

[Update Instructions]

This update requires manual installation through DMS or on the BenQ Board.

Updating BenQ Launcher from DMS

⚠️ Warning

The BenQ Launcher update requires a system restart. Make sure to update the app during off hours.

⚠️ Important

Ensure that all BenQ Boards are online before performing the following steps.

1. Go to https://dms.benq.com.
2. Log in with your admin credentials.
3. From the main menu, click Apps → BenQ Apps. The list of available apps appears.
4. Locate BenQ Launcher, and then click Install.
5. Select to install by devices, groups, or tags, and then click Next.
6. Select the specific devices, groups, or tags, and then click Select. A confirmation message appears.
7. Review the information, and then click Confirm. DMS installs the update.
8. From the main menu, click Devices.
9. Select all affected devices. The control panel appears.
   1. Note: If the control panel does not appear by default, click  on the All Devices menu.
10. Click  Reboot.

Updating BenQ Launcher from the BenQ Board

1. On the home screen taskbar, tap  → BenQ App Store.
2. Tap → BenQ Launcher.
   1. The app details window appears.
3. Tap Update. The board downloads and installs the update.
4. Restart the board.

Tip: If there are other available app updates, you can install them simultaneously. Tap then  Update All.
