[New Features]

  • Auto clear data

When enabled, this new feature deletes device usage history and related data every time the board is restarted. Users can enable this setting in System → Startup & Shutdown.

Important: Due to the addition of these new settings, device settings cannot be cloned between displays using firmware version 1.0.0.24 or later and displays using earlier firmware versions.

  • Enhanced the remote control button sensitivity.

[Fixed Issues]

  • Fixed an issue that prevented users from using the touchback functionality for Chromebooks.
  • Fixed an issue that disabled the touch functionality when the Floating Tool is used to take screenshots of an external input source.
  • Fixed an issue that disabled the touch functionality after the user switched between the touch and spotlight tools in the Floating Tool.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the touchscreen to not function properly when the user selected the pen or eraser tool from the Floating Tool and then turned the screen off and on.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the touchscreen to not function properly when the user disconnected and connected an input source through the USB-C or HDMI ports.
  • Fixed an issue that affected the touch functionality when the display’s PIP mode is in use.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the display to lag or crash when the user presses the Settings button on the remote control.
  • Fixed an issue that affected the network connection when using Ethernet.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented users from automatically reconnecting via Bluetooth after the display was restarted.

[Update Instructions]

This update requires manual installation through DMS or on the BenQ Board.

Updating the firmware from DMS

⚠️ Warning

The firmware update restarts the devices automatically. Make sure to update the firmware during off hours.

  1. Go to https://dms.benq.com.
  2. Log in with your admin credentials.
  3. From the main menu, click Firmware.
    1. The list of available device models appears.
  4. Locate your BenQ Board model, and then click Update. The update summary appears.
  5. Review the update details, and then click Update.
    1. Tip: You can also click Schedule to schedule the update at a later time.

Updating the firmware from the BenQ Board

⚠️ Warning

      • The firmware update requires a system restart. Make sure to save all important data before proceeding.
      • The update process may take a few minutes to complete. Ensure that there are no interruptions. Do not power off the device or disconnect from the internet to prevent permanent damage to the display.
  1. Open the Settings menu.
  2. Tap System → Advanced → System update.
  3. The system downloads and updates the firmware and then restarts automatically.
