[New Features]
Upgrade to Android 14
The Android system has been upgraded from version 13 to 14.
Multi-window update
Users can now split the screen into one third and two thirds sections, in addition to the existing half-screen split option.
USB Cloning encryption
USB cloning is now encrypted. Unencrypted USB drives can still be used to clone RM04 models running this firmware version (1.0.3.20) or later.
[Enhancements]
- Boot-up times for boards running InstaShare Button mode have been significantly reduced.
- Preinstalled three 3rd party security certificates: ContentKeeper, Securely, and iBoss.
- The USB Port Lock feature has been refined to block only USB storage devices, while maintaining functionality for keyboards, mice, and other accessories.
- The password reveal feature, which briefly shows each character as it is tapped, is now turned off by default.
[Fixed Issues]
- Fixed an issue where InstaShare Button mode wasn't able to be selected.
- Fixed an issue where the built-in microphone was not automatically selected after disconnecting a USB speaker.
- Fixed an issue causing speaker noise when both the Mic-In and Type-C ports on the front I/O panel were in use.
- Fixed an issue that caused the keyboard to be covered by another window in multi-window mode.
- Fixed an issue where X-Sign Broadcast Player did not wake up from sleep mode.
- Fixed an issue where DMS created duplicate log files.
- Fixed an issue preventing the board from joining Wi-Fi networks with hidden SSIDs.
- Fixed an issue that interrupted recording when using the Floating Tool or EZWrite 6.
- Fixed an issue causing annotation lag in the Floating Tool after extended use.

[Update Instructions]
This update requires manual installation through DMS or on the BenQ Board.
Updating the firmware from DMS
⚠️ Warning
The firmware update restarts the devices automatically. Make sure to update the firmware during off hours.
- Go to https://dms.benq.com.
- Log in with your admin credentials.
- From the main menu, click Firmware. The list of available device models appears.
- Locate your BenQ Board model, and then click Update. The update summary appears.
- Review the update details, and then click Update.
Tip: You can also click Schedule to schedule the update at a later time.

- 
- The firmware update requires a system restart. Make sure to save all important data before proceeding.
- The update process may take a few minutes to complete. Ensure that there are no interruptions. Do not power off the device or disconnect from the internet to prevent permanent damage to the display.
 
- Open the Settings menu.
- Tap Advanced → System update.
- Tap Update system.
The system downloads and updates the firmware and then reboots automatically.
