Camera Gestures
Control the BenQ Board with hand gestures from anywhere in the classroom.

Note Browser
A new browser with built-in annotation features that keep notes anchored to the locations they were made on the webpage, even while scrolling. (NOTE: this is a separate browser and doesn't support Google Sync).
Access via:
Apps menu → Note Browser.
USB cloning encryption
USB cloning is now encrypted. Unencrypted USB drives can still be used to clone RP04 models running this firmware version or later.
Audio equalizer
New audio equalizer settings have been added to customize sound profiles for different types of content. Access them via BenQ OSD menu → Audio → Equalizer settings.
[Enhancements]
- The BenQ Keyboard now replaces the Google Keyboard at login to prevent unauthorized browser access.
- EZWrite 6 and the Floating Tool recording feature can now capture both system audio and microphone input simultaneously.
- Improved multi-window behavior when switching between different split-screen layouts.
- Google Play app filter is now enabled by default when BenQ services are activated during initial setup (OOBE).
[Fixed Issues]
- Fixed an issue where connecting a laptop throughUSB-C resulted in a “No Signal” message or delayed video and audio output.
- Fixed an issue that would cause a buzzing sound when unplugging a USB-C, DisplayPort, or HDMI cable.
- Fixed an issue where connecting a second screen through HDMI Out displayed a “No Signal” message.
- Fixed an issue that would cause a blank screen and loss of touch functionality when the front USB-C port was repeatedly plugged and unplugged.
- Fixed an issue that would cause the pairing window to not appear after connecting an InstaShare Button through the front USB-C port.
- Fixed an issue where Miracast casting was not working in InstaShare 2.
- Fixed an issue where a USB mouse remained functional even when the USB port was locked.
- Fixed an issue where disabling USB port lock through DMS was not being applied.
- Fixed an issue where disabling IPv6 through DMS was not being applied.
- Fixed an issue that would cause the BenQ Board name to display as RM04 instead of RM05 in Windows when connected through HDMI.
- Fixed an issue that would cause the NFC tap sound to remain audible when the system was muted.
- Fixed an issue where disabling Microphone sharing was not being applied.
- Fixed an issue where pressing the Blank button on the remote control prevented the screen from being turned back on using touch or the remote.
- Fixed an issue where an Android phone could not connect to the board using the Quick-connect QR code when the BenQ Board was in Hotspot mode.
- Fixed an issue that would cause the keyboard to not appear when tapping an input field during two-factor authentication login.
- Fixed an issue that would cause Equalizer settings under OSD menu → Audio → Equalizer settings to not appear.
- Fixed an issue that would cause a "No Signal" message when switching to the OPS input source with certain slot-in PC models.

[Update Instructions]
This update requires manual installation through DMS or on the BenQ Board.
Updating the firmware from DMS
⚠️ Warning
The firmware update restarts the devices automatically. Make sure to update the firmware during off hours.
- Go to https://dms.benq.com.
- Log in with your admin credentials.
- From the main menu, click Firmware. The list of available device models appears.
- Locate your BenQ Board model, and then click Update. The update summary appears.
- Review the update details, and then click Update.
Tip: You can also click Schedule to schedule the update at a later time.
Updating the firmware from the BenQ Board
⚠️ Warning
- The firmware update requires a system restart. Make sure to save all important data before proceeding.
- The update process may take a few minutes to complete. Ensure that there are no interruptions. Do not power off the device or disconnect from the internet to prevent permanent damage to the display.
- Open the Settings menu.
- Tap System → About → System update.
- Tap Update. The system downloads and updates the firmware and then restarts automatically.
