[New Features]
Upgrade to Android 15
The board’s Android operating system will update to Android 15 with this firmware update.
Share Wi-Fi via QR code
Users can now share the board’s Wi-Fi credentials via QR code. To enable this, go to Admin menu → System Settings → QRcode share wifi.
Five-finger touchscreen gestures
Users can now customize five-finger touchscreen gestures under the BenQ Board Settings menu → Advanced → Touchscreen gestures.
The four gestures are:
- Slide Shrink: Pinch with five fingers.
- Slide Spread: Spread with five fingers.
- Slide Right: Swipe right with five fingers.
- Slide Left: Swipe left with five fingers.
Users can customize these gestures to perform the following actions:
- None - No Action
- Blank screen - Blanks the screen
- Home - Go to Android Home screen
- Recent - Opens up Recents Menu (same as Recent from Sidebar menu)
- Screenshot - Take a screenshot
Handwritten text input
Users can now use handwritten text recognition as an alternative to keyboard input and choose from 27 downloadable languages. To access this feature, navigate to the BenQ Board Settings menu → Advanced → Handwritten text input.
Multi-window Picture in Picture (PIP)
Users can now use the Picture-in-Picture function in Multi-window mode in up to six windows simultaneously, with support for five Android apps and one external source.
CEC Wake-up
Users can now remotely wake up devices through CEC. Note: The board’s Android system will update the MCU firmware after this firmware update. Do not turn off the display until after this firmware update is complete.
Touch driver v7110
The touch driver will update to support Android 15.
System ROM storage warning
Users will now see a pop-up message warning them when the board’s storage space is running low.

[Update Instructions]
This update requires manual installation through DMS or on the BenQ Board.
Updating the firmware from DMS
⚠️ Warning
The firmware update restarts the devices automatically. Make sure to update the firmware during off hours.
- Go to https://dms.benq.com.
- Log in with your admin credentials.
- From the main menu, click Firmware. The list of available device models appears.
- Locate your BenQ Board model, and then click Update. The update summary appears.
- Review the update details, and then click Update.
Tip: You can also click Schedule to schedule the update at a later time.

- The firmware update requires a system restart. Make sure to save all important data before proceeding.
- The update process may take a few minutes to complete. Ensure that there are no interruptions. Do not power off the device or disconnect from the internet to prevent permanent damage to the display.
- Open the Settings menu.
- Tap Advanced → System update.
- Tap Update system.
The system downloads and updates the firmware and then restarts automatically.
