      [New Features]

      Eye-care

      Users can now enable Eye-care in Settings → Display → Eye-care. This feature reduces blue light emissions to protect the user’s eyes.

      Security certificates

      Preinstalled 3rd party security certificates: ContentKeeper, Securely, and iBoss.

      Media player

      A new default media player app has been added.

      [Fixed Issues]

      • Fixed an issue where the volume bar showed an incorrect value when sound was set to 100.
      • Fixed an issue where a lock icon was incorrectly displayed in the top-left corner when restarting with IR or Keypad Lock enabled.
      • Fixed an issue that prevented power scheduling from working correctly with DMS Local.
      • Fixed an issue that prevented MKV and M4V 4K videos from displaying in full screen in AM Player when the display was in portrait mode.
      • Fixed an issue where certain apps appeared upside down in portrait mode.
      • Fixed an issue where system messages displayed in landscape orientation when using HDMI input with the display in portrait mode.
      • Fixed an issue that prevented the display from connecting to a hidden Wi-Fi SSID.

      [Update Instructions]

      This update requires manual installation through DMS or on the SL04 display.

      Updating the firmware from DMS

      ⚠️ Warning

      The firmware update restarts the device automatically. Make sure to update the firmware during off hours.

      1. Go to https://dms.benq.com.
      2. Log in with your admin credentials.
      3. From the main menu, click Firmware. The list of available devices appears.
      4. Locate your BenQ signage display, and then click Update. The update summary appears.
      5. Review the update details, and then click Update.
        Tip: You can also click Schedule to schedule the update for a later time.

      Updating the firmware from the SL04/SH04 display

      ⚠️ Warning

      • The firmware update requires a system restart. Make sure to save all important data before proceeding.
      • The update process may take a few minutes to complete. Ensure that there are no interruptions. Do not power off the device or disconnect from the internet to prevent permanent damage to the display.
      1. Open the Signage Settings menu.
      2. Select Advanced → System update.
      3. Select Update system. The system downloads and updates the firmware and then restarts automatically.
